25 % chance to give a Zed Hunt mission.Thin the Herd has 5 outcomes which add time to the Threat level countdown timer. Players can briefly delay sieges by setting the Tactics option at Ops Center to " Thin the Herd". At 6 minutes it increases to level 2 and at 3 minutes to level 3. The Threat level consists of a 32 minute countdown. When a siege begins, the number is replaced by a skull icon. Threat level will increase from 1 to 2, then to 3.

I'm not saying if you own breakdown but not lifeline you should get the update, I'm saying that the update only be available to owners of both breakdown and lifeline. At all times, a number in a triangle appears at the bottom of the mini map to let players know how close the upcoming siege is. Maybe near the fair grounds or in the middle of a field. I would also unlock other restart sites on the Trumbal Valley map, someplace you would attempt to land a bird in trouble. Make a down helo graphic, similar to the RV and drop the bird somewhere different on the map. However, I do think when the player leaves Foray for the first time it should drop the player at a crashed Heilo site on either map. If not, you just get the Foray expansion. If you have Breakdown, the game would simply ask if you wanted to include Breakdown in the rotation. I would have the Foray expansion be stand alone but look for Breakdown. What if some peeps bought Lifeline but never got Breakdown? They should not get the Breakdown stuff for free.

I would think with all the tweeking that had to be done, it would need to be another full expansion. We are asking for something similar with Lifeline.

You get exactly what I mean, however I'd prefer it to be a free update instead of an extra expansion, but I'd be happy with either. It would eliminate some of the repetition of the game, maybe even allowing the player to pick up Lifeline gear or additional player options. I would set Level 1 to Trumbal Valley but after that a random shot of getting either map.

When you start Breakdown, if you have Lifeline, it opens the option for the map. Originally posted by American Steel:I think having the Breakdown option to appear on the Lifeline map would be a nice expansion of the DLC. Only so much room on the bird, so pick you six and jet. Maybe the players come in on the RV but get out on a helio. Getting in Air Support or Artillery Support (akin the the vanilla SoD) would be another nice touch.Ĭonsidering all the devs would have to do, I think adding Lifeline to Breakdown would need to be a completely different DLC. I would not give the player the option for the air drops or the helio, but who is to say they could not make friends with the surviving GIs. Getting your crew to handle a few of the spec operations tasks (like Thinning the Herd or Looking for Supplies) would be equally cool.

The devs would have to add a few base locations to the map and then have the threat level slowly build. Of course adding in the Siege option for a player spawned base would be epic. They could even have Cho have a few kind words for the players picking up people down on their luck. However, if the devs do not want to include any military spec loot or player options into the game, just have the player roll through town sometime before Sasquach shows up. I think having the Breakdown option to appear on the Lifeline map would be a nice expansion of the DLC.
